One often thinks of water filters as bulky appliances that have to be built into a kitchen with all kinds of complicated connections and mysterious hoses and pipes. The survival water filter is the exact opposite of this and is by definition the most simple, powerful and compact water filter available. They filter 99.99% of all Protozoa + 99.99% of all Bacteria + 99.99% of all Parasites in the water.  Of course, the lifespan of these filters is highly dependent on how polluted the water is that you let through the filter by how many liters, but with average natural water the filter (NR 1) + (NR 2) last about a 1000 to 1500 liters. With water in clear super clean mountain streams, the filter can last up to 3000 liters. These filters are all BPA free, and all filter down to 0.001 µM.  The filter (NR 3) lasts at least 5000 liters and has a stock bag that can also be used as a sturdy air bag for extra buoyancy.

There are many manufacturers worldwide that make filters and use the same housing as the competitor, … however, the deceptive quality of the filtering, which can differ a lot between filter manufacturers, is however marketed in the same housing ! As a result; …there is a great difference in the filtering quality between the apparently identical filters on the outside ! Very Confusing !

 

FILTER DATA DETERMINES THE QUALITY OF WATER

When buying a survival water filter, it is therefore important that you first check what the filter quality is given in “uM” value. If you don’t, you will be comparing apples with pears, which in itself is not very realistic.

 

FUNCTIONALITY OF WATER FILTERS

First, if you need to drink the water right away, that is an obvious point. The functionality also lies in the water you use to cook food, or to wash your gloves and pants, and perhaps also your hats and even your jacket.  But you also use water to clean your knife or axe or to wipe your table … If this water is not clean, bacteria will accumulate and there is a chance that you will become ill in a survival situation. However, that’s the last thing you want ! Furthermore, if you have a wound,… before taking the first aid kit, you will still have to clean your wound from dredge and debris first with clean water.  In short … a filter is indispensable …  Don’t leave home without it !
